Event Title:   GoBrazil and GoGlobal

Brief:              Recruit target of 12 delegates and organise overseas trade mission to Brazil.

Disciplines:   Branding; design; direct marketing; PR; event organisation; e-marketing; web design.

Results:          For the initial Brazil event, we recruited 37 delegates (against a target of 12) creating the largest ever trade mission of its kind to South America. Awarded the GoGlobal contract as a result.

5-day maxi-mission to Brazil with around 32 private- and public-sector delegates meeting business contacts in São Paulo.

We organised all aspects of the event including branding; delegate recruitment; e-marketing and website; travel and accommodation logistics; financial management; promotional literature and bi-lingual mission brochure; media coverage in UK and Brazil and video case study to promote UKTI services in the future.

Several UK participants won large first-time orders with Brazilian customers, one winning its first £1.5m order from Brazil.

Above: The group went to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Business meetings were pre-arranged with some opportunities to sample Brazilian entertainment at networking events.

GoBrazil – Business Meetings and ‘Embassy’ Networking Events

Around 300 business meetings were pre-arranged during the week, with each UK delegate receiving 8 appointments on average. A networking reception was organised at the British Consulate in Sao Paulo along with cultural entertainments to which UK delegates could invite their guests.

GoGlobal  Market Visit Programme

This successful project in Brazil led to the commission and development of a year-long programme of market visits called GoGlobal. This comprised further trade mission and marketing activities to:

  • Russia*
  • India*
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Qatar
  • South Africa

*The Russia and India trade missions became the largest of their kinds from any UK region.
